If one thinks that simply finding out the fact that a person is suffering from haemorrhoids is more than sufficient to start on a proper hämorrhoiden behandlung, then think again because treatment also depends on the stage at which the condition presently is at. For example, it does not make sense to treat benign haemorrhoids inside the body that have not yet progressed to the bleeding phase with surgery as surgery itself comes with complications of infection, recovery and reoccurrence of haemorrhoids. If it can be cured by medication alone at this stage then that is the better approach.
Next, in the third stage where it reaches the strangulated prolapsed phase, haemorrhoids are better treated by using simply cut off procedures that squeeze or snip the blood vessel connecting to the haemorrhoids so that it runs out of nourishment and the hanging tissue simply falls off the anal opening walls. Any stage after this shall however require going in for a surgery to avoid further complications.
